Monday 20 January 2025
Join the team on one of our behind-the-scenes tours of the charity's airbase.
Pianist and concert artist Rupert Egerton-Smith continues to be praised for the “rich sensitivity and superb musicianship” that have come to be synonymous with his performances.
Combining an innate musicality with solid grounding in technique, style and composition, his abilities continue to trademark him as one of the finest classical pianists on the musical scene today.
The Band of The Grenadier Guards represent the most senior infantry regiment of the British Army, while the Band and Bugles of The Rifles represent the largest sole rifle regiment in the British Army.
This event not only marks one of the rare occasions that the two Bands will perform together in a concert, but it will also take the audience on an exciting and unique musical journey; celebrating the rich histories of the two regiments, as well as paying homage to the local Wiltshire area.
Salisbury Cathedral, famous for its iconic Spire, will play host to the Unique Concert.
The Cathedral is home to one of one four remaining 1215 Magna Carta and has close ties with The Rifles; the Royal Berkshire and Wiltshire Regimental Museum is sited in the Cathedral Close and their colour are laid up in the North West Nave Aisle.

TV star and Wiltshire Air Ambulance ambassador Paul Martin has been announced as the host of the event.
Paul, who lives in Beanacre, is regularly seen on our television screens, hosting BBC’s antiques programme Flog It!, as well as Trust Me, I’m A Dealer and Handmade Revolution.
“As a Wiltshire resident, I'm absolutely honoured to be able to host this very special occasion which is raising vital funds for key charities in our community,” he says.
“It is set to be a fantastic event in an historic venue and I’m very much looking forward to having the honour of hosting the night.”
Paul is head of valuations at Henry Aldridge Auction Rooms in Devizes and has been an ambassador for our charity since 2017.
All profits from this wonderful evening will go towards supporting the work of The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire, along with the military charities, all of whom are honoured to share a close association with Her Majesty The Queen.
