Local accountants joining WAA Snowdon Trek
Wednesday, 20 March 2024
Led by expert guides, the team will begin the climb at 2am, continuing in complete darkness to reach the summit to witness the sunrise.
The Snowdon Trek team is made up of accountancy, payroll and marketing professionals representing all three of Gooding Accounts’ offices; Westbury, Warminster and Melksham.
The challenge is part of the firm’s 10-year anniversary celebrations which will see the entire Gooding Accounts team raise £50,000 for local charities.
“We’re all looking forward to the challenge and are keen to get started walking the countryside of Wiltshire in preparation.
We’re thrilled to be able to do our bit to help such a fantastic charity which is so close to our hearts.”
Said the company’s accounts team leader, Sharon.
This week the team were welcomed to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance base in Semington to find out more about vital work the charity carry out across the county.
Marketing Manager, Emma, said: “It’s such a privilege to visit the base and meet some of the team who provide this lifesaving service for us all here in Wiltshire.”
In 2024 Wiltshire Air Ambulance will need to raise £4.5 million to continue its vital services across the county and Bath. The charity receives no regular funding from the Government or National Lottery grants and relies on donations from the public and local businesses to fund the helicopter, crew and all of their support staff.
The highly specialised critical care team can reach anywhere in Wiltshire in 11 minutes and fly to the centre of Bath in just four minutes. This speed can literally mean the difference between life and death for a patient.
Gooding Accounts will be updating their training progress on the charity pages of their website here.
