Richard had a long affiliation with the charity. He volunteered as a trustee for eight years, from 2011-2018, latterly proudly holding the role of Chairman.

When the charity was under threat of closure in 2014, Richard – more than any other person – played a key role in keeping the service going, helping to set up the charity as a standalone operation.

Throughout his life Richard lived across the globe, from London to New York, Singapore to Hong Kong, before settling down in Wiltshire.

Prior to retirement, much of his career was spent as a partner of Graham Miller & Co, city loss adjusters, where he centred on the movie industry. He even flew in helicopters around the Philippines for the 1979 hit film Apocalypse Now.

Everyone at Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity will miss Richard’s passion and the heartfelt care he had for the charity.

At this sad time, we send our thoughts and condolences to Richard’s family and friends.
