David Philpott
Chief ExecutiveDavid joined the charity as chief executive in September 2011.
His role as chief executive involves working with our unpaid board of trustees to set the strategy of the charity (including the annual budget) and then making sure that our senior management team have all the resources and opportunities they need to deliver the objectives. He also works closely with the chairman and other board members, often being the public face of the charity as far as local media is concerned.
David has extensive experience working with Air Ambulance charities, including working for Essex Air Ambulance in 2001 before moving on to Kent Air Ambulance in 2003 and expending the service into neighbouring Surrey and Sussex. He was also the founding chairman of the Association of Air Ambulances in 2003 for three successive years and is a former member of the European HEMS and Air Ambulance Committee.
Have you been treated by us?
If you or someone you know has been treated by our critical care team, it would be great to hear from you. We can arrange for a visit to the airbase for the chance to meet our pilots, paramedics and doctors.
